Women in Development

When Women in Development, a professional organization for fundraisers, announced its 25th anniversary year, I led the Publicity Committee. The annual Woman of Achievement award, presented to Emily Kernan Rafferty, President of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was reported in The New York Sun, including photo. I also arranged an interview for Ms. Rafferty with Philanthropy Journal, a key industry monthly. Subsequent events were reported by The Chronicle of Philanthropy and The New York Nonprofit Press.

WID registered a 20% increase in membership, largely attributable to the increased visibility of the association that was achieved by media coverage.
