Since the articles for IPS have been placed, we have seen a dramatic increase in registrations ... In discussion with the contacts we make, they all read about us through the great PR job done by Janet.

Smith Barney

In 2005, I drafted more than 50 articles on diverse financial planning topics for the catalogue of Dialogues, a customized newsletter that financial advisors of Smith Barney ordered for their clients. The catalogue was comprised of “evergreen” articles, basic and timeless introductory nuggets designed to prompt the reader to call or meet with their FA to discuss the issues, themes and products described. The tone was open, informative and nominally pedagogical. With a maximum length of 195, 325 or 600 words, the FA would mix and match articles selected from the catalogue consistent with the newsletter layout (generally, two short, one medium, one long), either thematically linked (IRA) or on random topics (College, Estate, Mortgage).
